Now That We’re Here, What’s Next?

We are finally here in 2024.

It’s the 7th day already.

If you are reading this now…

I guess you’ve made some New Year resolutions already. 😊

Well, making resolutions is not bad; following it through is the Koko.

You’ve got to make deliberate efforts and commitment to make those resolutions become a reality.

Do you understand?

Okay, we are in 2024,

What now?

See, it’s not about the year though,
it’s all about you.

I mean, years have come and gone, and there are still more to come till our expiry day on earth.

I want you to compare your Current self and your PAST – and answer this question…

Have the years changed you to become a better version of yourself, or…

You are still the same person you were 5- 10 years ago?

With every “Happy New Year!” – hope you know we are getting older, and nearer to our grave? (ooshh, I just hit a nerve)

I know you don’t like to hear such stuff, but, I’ve got to say it anyway.

Here’s the thing,

Most times, life gets difficult for us because we are living in a fantasy – in our head.

We have a perfect picture of how life should be in our mind, instead of accepting reality and living in the moment.

We rob ourselves of the joy of the moment with the fear of the unknown.

Like I was saying, you’ve got to learn how to accept the harsh realities of life.

It’d make your journey through life easier.

Some things in life must happen, like…

– Night and day,
– Inhaling oxygen and exhaling carbon dioxide
– Birth and Death.

As you’re reading this now, a baby has just been born, somewhere on earth… and at the same time; someone just took their last breath.

You see how it goes…

It’s the dynamic of life.

It’d continue like that till the day we leave here also.

Why am I telling you all this?

I just want to remind you that we won’t be here forever.

Many people wished to see this year,2024 – but… they lost their lives to the cold hand of death.

You see, death is not a respecter of no one.

It is color blind; it doesn’t know a black or white man.

It doesn’t know age; it takes anyone at any time – whether old, young or even babies.

Death is real and random, and that’s why you should be intentional with your life – from now.

This is 2024; you’ve been given a fresh slate to rewrite the story of your life.

If you’ve been living your life on a repeated routine in the previous years, please, make a change now.

2023 is gone, but, it taught you some lessons – right?

The thing is…

If you don’t act on the lessons and re-strategize for this year; it’d be you living 2023 again – in 2024.

It’d be a New Year, but – same old you.

Nah, it isn’t supposed to be like that.

The trajectory of our lives ought to be in a progressive motion; not going backward or remaining stagnant.

Reality check:
We are the master of our lives.

We are the architect of our future.

We’ve got everything in our lives to become successful or a failure.

Do you get it?

I mean, we know what we NEED to do to make our lives better – but, we don’t do them.

Because sometimes, they require commitment, pain, sweat, blood, and tears.

We’d choose to ignore the things we need to DO to make our lives better and start looking for shortcuts to a better life

… forgetting that ANYTHING worth having doesn’t come easily; It requires some form of action and commitment from us.

Success is just like Gold,
if everyone has easy access to it,
it won’t hold the value it does today.

Everyone wants to be successful, but, only a few are willing to pay the price to become successful.

Do you want to be successful?

Before you answer, are you willing to put in the work to get your success?

The dream is free; but, the action, effort, and commitment required to make the dream become a reality is sold separately.

Action is what separates the boys from men.

Because action requires responsibility.

Action is what converts an idea into a profitable product or service.

So, this year…

If you want to;
– earn 5x your revenue
– buy a new car…
– get a new apartment…
– invest in real estate…
– explore different countries, or
– enter a new career path…

I love your goals, but, the question is….

Are you ready to pay the PRICE for it?

Are you ready to make the required sacrifices to achieve those goals?

Sacrifices could mean cutting ties with family or friends who aren’t aligned with your goals…

…limiting the time you spend on social media doing meaningless things.

… developing new productive habits by dedicating specific minutes or hours to:
➡ Read
➡ Plan
➡ Think
➡ Upskill
➡ Exercise

You see, it won’t be easy, but, it’s a price You MUST pay if you want to experience growth this YEAR.

Are you ready to crush your 2024?

Do you just want to continue living life randomly like you’ve been doing the previous years?

The choice is Yours to make.

Remember, you are responsible for your life; not your parents, friends, relatives, lover, spouse or circumstances.

So, it’d be better to start removing anything and anyone that’d stop you from achieving your goals for the year 2022.

Be accountable for your life.

Your decisions, actions, and associations have to be in sync with your goals.

Yeah, although you won’t achieve your goals overnight…

The real magic happens through the COMPOUNDING of your daily activities.

I mean,

IF you start showing up daily to take small actions required to hit your goals, you’d start to see them manifesting sooner.

I don’t know more than you o.

This is me sharing from the little I know, hoping it’d make an impact in your life.

I’m learning in the process, too.

The goal is for us to end 2024 smashing all or most of the targets we’ve set already.

I’m rooting for you.

I know you can do it.

All I’m asking is for you to take ACTION now, because…

Even the Holy book says “ Faith without Work(action) is Dead.”

I know you are smart.

You know what to do. 😉

Cheers to a fruitful 2024 ahead.

Stay Sharp,

  1. This was a good read Efe. That mind of yours? Just amazing.

Putting in the work needed to achieve our goals is never easy. But there’s no two ways about it.
We just gotta do what we gotta do.
