Don’t Kill Your Pen

They’ll tell you:

“Keep it short.”

“Make it snackable.”

“People don’t have time.”

But here’s the truth nobody wants to admit:

The RIGHT people will ALWAYS make time for words that matter.

I’ve watched it happen over and over…

→ Brilliant writers chopping their thoughts in half.

→ Coaches watering down their wisdom to fit a tweet.

→ Founders letting AI think for them because “efficiency.”

And you know what happens?

Their content becomes vanilla.

Safe, forgettable, just like everyone else’s. (Too bad )

Here’s what breaks my heart,

Your audience will never get to experience the REAL you:

… the you with messy, beautiful thoughts.

… the you with stories that could change someone’s life.

… the you with insights that took years of experiences to develop.

Why?

Because you’re scared they’ll scroll past.

But here’s what I know about humans:

We binge-watch 5-hour Netflix series.

We read 200-page books in one sitting.

We listen to 3-hour podcasts while doing laundry.

The point is:

When something CAPTIVATES us, we devour it.

So…

Why are you starving your people?

Why are you giving them appetizers when they’re hungry for the full meal?

Listen carefully:

If your words carry SUBSTANCE, your people will pause.

They’ll put their phone face-up on their desk.

They’ll read every single word because what you write doesn’t just fill space…

It fills them.

The uncomfortable truth is…

Those people scrolling past your “too long” posts/copy aren’t your target audience.

They’ll spend 20 minutes watching TikToks about cats, but can’t invest 2 minutes in your expertise?

Let them go!

Your real people are out there:

📌 Hungry for depth.

📌 Craving authenticity.

📌 Desperate for someone who won’t dumb it down.

They’re waiting for YOU to show up fully.

Not the bite-sized, sanitized version of you.

The WHOLE you.

So here’s your permission slip:

Write what needs to be written.

Say what needs to be said.

Your people will find you, consume your value, appreciate you, and gladly pay for your offers.

Stay Sharp!

Efe

P.S. Writing long content or copy doesn’t mean it has to be boring though.

You should add elements that make every paragraph intriguing, and smoothly run into the next.
